A useful fit for

A buyer seeking the DEWALT 20V MAX DCD801 drill/driver with two DCB2104 4Ah POWERPACK batteries, charger, bag and belt hook listed in the package.

The main tradeoff

This is a two-4Ah-pack package, not the single 6Ah FLEXVOLT DCD801T1 kit; the charger model, runtime and DCD801 masonry capacity are not established by the exact page.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

What battery package does DCD801QQ2 list?

The exact US page lists two DCB2104 4Ah POWERPACK batteries, a charger, kit bag and belt hook with the DCD801 drill/driver.

Is DCD801QQ2 the same package as DCD801T1?

No. QQ2 lists two DCB2104 4Ah POWERPACK batteries; T1 lists one DCB606 6Ah FLEXVOLT battery. Both pages list the DCD801 drill, a charger, bag and belt hook. Battery labels do not establish runtime equivalence.

Explore this need in the finder →
Does DCD801QQ2 offer a hammer-drill setting?

No. DCD801 offers drilling and screwdriving in the Type 1 manual; the hammer-drilling mode belongs to the separate DCD806 model.

Research-based assessment · exact DEWALT US listing, DCD801/DCD806 Type 1 manual and package image checked 28 October 2026

The DCD801QQ2 kit contains the DCD801 brushless drill/driver with two DCB2104 4Ah POWERPACK batteries, a charger, a belt hook and a kit bag. The core machine is the DCD801 also sold as DCD801B and DCD801T1; QQ2’s distinction is its two-pack battery bundle. This is a documentary assessment only: the tool was not acquired, operated or tested.

Two POWERPACK batteries distinguish this kit

DEWALT’s exact DCD801QQ2 page lists two DCB2104 DEWALT POWERPACK 4Ah batteries, one charger, one kit bag and a belt hook with the drill. DCD801B is the bare-tool option; its product page says the battery and charger are sold separately and lists no bag. DCD801T1 instead lists one DCB606 6Ah FLEXVOLT pack, a charger and a kit bag. The models share the DCD801 drill, but the included power packs differ in model and count. If either battery technology or charger model matters, inspect the seller’s exact suffix and written kit contents; the charger is not model-numbered in the DCD801QQ2 Includes list.

The “two batteries” feature means two named pack units are included, not two simultaneous power sources or a quantified runtime. A spare pack can be useful to have available, but how long either lasts depends on the work and conditions. The page’s 4Ah label identifies the DCB2104 packs; it cannot tell a buyer how many holes a different bit or material will yield. DEWALT’s page gives an “up to” hole-count statement tied to a specified auger, battery and SPF lumber condition. That is manufacturer information, not a result reproduced here or an hours-of-use promise.

Separate the tool’s functions from the battery package

The DCD801 is a 20V MAX XR brushless drill/driver. Its published features include a 1/2-in metal ratcheting chuck, two no-load speed ranges of 0–650 and 0–2,000 rpm, variable trigger control, 1–15 screwdriving settings, an ANTI-ROTATION shutdown system and an adjustable three-position 70-lumen LED. The manual names DCB2104 as a compatible battery model. These specifications describe the documented machine and kit; they do not establish measured drilling force or a particular buyer’s comfort with the two battery packs.

Do not confuse DCD801 with DCD806. Their Type 1 manual is shared, but the mode table assigns DCD801 drilling and screwdriving and reserves hammer drilling for DCD806. DCD801QQ2’s two packs do not add hammer action. DEWALT’s capacity table lists DCD801 recommendations of 1-1/2 in for wood auger and paddle bits, 1 in for wood twist, 2-9/16 in for self-feed and 3 in for wood hole saws; for metal it lists a 1/2-in twist bit and 1-1/2-in hole saw. The DCD801 masonry entry is blank. Those maximum-recommended capacities are not independent performance tests and should not be inferred from the 1/2-in chuck capacity.

Useful controls, with setup limits

The two-speed selector offers a low and high no-load range. The manual cautions against shifting while the tool is running and says to let it stop fully first. Its clutch advice is practical: start with lower torque, use a practice fastener or scrap, then adjust rather than assuming a numbered collar position fits every screw. In drilling mode, the clutch does not engage; the instructions warn that an overloaded drill may stall and twist unexpectedly. Clamp the work, keep the bit aligned, and use a controlled grip. The product page’s anti-rotation feature is designed to shut the tool down if excessive motion is sensed, but it is not a substitute for safe setup and cannot prevent every loss of control.

The integrated worklight is adjustable among three positions, including a spotlight setting according to DEWALT’s page. The manufacturer rates it at 70 lumens and describes auto shutoff. That can be compared with drills whose lights are fixed at the nose, but it is not a substitute for adequate work-area lighting or a guarantee of visibility around an obstruction. The optional TOOL CONNECT chip is sold separately; it is not part of the QQ2 kit list.

When QQ2 makes sense—and when it does not

DCD801QQ2 is a package to consider when you want the DEWALT 20V MAX DCD801 and prefer two included DCB2104 4Ah packs, with a charger and bag listed. It is less appropriate if a buyer has no need for two packs, already owns a compatible battery system and prefers the lower-inclusions tool-only route, or specifically prefers the DCB606 FLEXVOLT kit. Those are package-selection distinctions, not evidence that one version drills better than another.

Pass on QQ2 if hammer drilling is essential or your work requires a published DCD801 masonry capacity. The sources reviewed here do not establish tool-only weight, total working clearance, absolute output or actual runtime. Before choosing an offer, check the model suffix, that both DCB2104 packs are named, the charger and bag are listed, and the seller’s return terms. Read the operating and battery instructions for your specific setup. No hands-on result, customer experience, price or availability is asserted.
